23 Sep 08
Yes thats right, following on from the great reception received from "No Exception" & "Riddim n Culture" in conjunction with Ho-Ju Records Australia we now bring you two absolutely mindblowing remixes. "No Exception" has been sexed up somewhat in a more 4/4 electro house stylee by the very talented Australian Producer "Micah" of Fingerlickin fame and "Riddim n Culture" has been given the crazy off the wall treatment by the boys better known as "Aquasky". Already gaining hefty support from the majority of the big players, this is one remix package that should not be missed! It will be available on 12" Vinyl intially followed a little while later in digital format for all of you download demons.

Breaks is alive and well in Croatia!
25 Nov 07
A massive shout and respect goes out to our new friends in Croatia, Nesto Novo Crew and Glechudesa Massive. We had a great mini tour there earlier this month performing at Club Bastion in the city of Osijek and also playing at Nesto Novo's Anniversary celebration at Stereo Dvorana in the city of Rijeka. We were lucky enough to see alot of Croatia having been driven almost 7 hours from one side of the country to the other. The scenery is gorgeous and becomes even more stunning heading towards the coast near the borders of Italy where the steep mountains of the Dinarek Alps give way to the calm glass like waters of the Adriatic Sea. This was a memorable weekend of tuff beats and winding streets and we would like to say a special thank you to Bojan aka DJ Bokka, Roko, Goran aka Safety Breaks, Pips, Yesh, Pille, & Paavle for your superlative hospitality! Also a big shout to all of the wonderful people we had the pleasure of spending time with out there, you know who you are!
Shambhala 2007 Rocked!!
10 Sep 07
After experiencing 4 days at this great festival I felt inspired to write a few words and to extend my thanks to the crew there who are amazing and work very hard behind the scenes throughout the whole year to make this event happen. It's only when you spend time with such people that you get to really see the passion and pride that is clearly put into the organisation of this festival. There are lots of cool stages all with different themes, Main Stage, Fractal Forest, The Village, The Portal, The Rock Pit and The Beach. Between them all you can experience literally every form of electronic music on quality sound systems although they all have one thing in common, great atmosphere! I'm not sure if there is something in the water, or if the party people there are spiritually tuned into the way of thinking that the festival promotes (the latter I think), one thing I do know is that everybody there is up for it... BIG TIME! Memorable moments for me included the 5 minute power cut when the whole site was in pitch blackness (ahem...right in the middle of our set on Main Stage!) after a few seconds silence the whole place erupted with cheers from over 10000 party people who were just for a short time lost in the wilderness together! Also trying to sleep on the first night and feeling the bass vibrating heavily through my air mattress and thinking to myself, Oh well I can always sleep on the flight home! There is a very special place at Shambhala and it's called the "Fractal Forest" and no matter what time of day you wander in there the atmosphere is electric. It's a great setting in amongst the trees. By day it's a great place to dance hard whilst sheltering from the hot sun and by night it transforms into a wonderland epic feast for the senses with one of the most impressive visual shows I have ever seen. Check out some of the photos that members have submitted on www.shambhalamusicfestival.com of the Fractal lights and lazers doing their thing. All in all Shambhala 2007 has certainly impressed me, it's intimate yet large enough for that real festival vibe, the setting is awe inspiring and the food and drinks available are excellent. If you ever get the chance... GO and if you don't ever get chance... GO anyway! Massive respect to... Rich-e-Rich, Sara, Hoola, Tracey, Angelica, Adrian, Nico, Stephanie, all the crew, all the artists and all the Shambalites... You Rocked.
Journeyman & Barrcode at Shambhala Music Festival 11/12 Aug.
13 Jul 07
A concept, born in 1998 as an end of summer celebration, is now creating an international stir. An independent, family owned festival focused on a fusion of nature’s beauty and modern technology, it won its reputation and loyal attendance exclusively through word of mouth promotion. Using the message as the medium, the website and forum united the Shambhala community and spread the word. Shambhala is an event created for the people by the people, a vibrant collective drawn from a palette of vivid diversity. The various branches of Shambhala’s dedicated community work tirelessly, constructing every stage and area of interest in the months leading up to opening day. The fruits of their labour are six originally-themed stages built to showcase world-class DJ's, bands, MC's, and other live entertainment. Strategically placed in ideal locales throughout the beach and the forest, the stages are artfully connected by a series of magical trails and boardwalks with dazzling visual effects leading the way. The stages draw on state-of-the-art sound technology combined with awe-inspiring visuals including lasers and film that generate a multimedia Mecca. This flyer is your road map, your event guide, your memento of an unforgettable and magical experience. Much expanded structurally and technologically, Shambhala welcomed an audience of 10,000 in 2005. Despite the numbers, Shambhala remains at heart an intimate occasion. Artistic and musical talent, imaginative costumes and remarkable individuals fuel the vibe of Shambhala, sowing the seeds of inspiration in a safe haven where nature and artistic expression entwine. Shambhala is a revolution in its own right with a complex simplicity that draws back thousands of devoted fans each year and reaches out to new ones. Shambhala is a journey, an adventure, a life altering experience, and not least, a place to just let loose and dance, dance, dance. And after four ecstatic nights and five dreamy days, the show winds down. The time comes to put aside the enchantment and depart the magical realm for the hustle and bustle of that other life. Despite sad faces and reluctant partings, there is a sense of purpose, of peacefulness and accomplishment...of satisfaction...and of plans to return. These five days of Shambhala are the days you wait for the other 360! Set Times for Journeyman & Barrcode: Sat 11 Aug - Main Stage - 2am-4am (Sunday Morning) Sun 12 Aug - Fractal Forest - 3am-6am (Monday Morning) Rock On!!
